"With the Covid-19 crisis enveloping the country and devastating our ability to operate, like so many small businesses and charities wanting to safeguard the well-being of our staff, participants, and wider community, The Glad Foundation has been forced to close our doors as of 17/03/2020.
BUT there is a silver-lining in the shape of the extraordinary announcement from the Hunter Foundation, that despite having to postpone the Glasgow Kiltwalk until it is considered safe to run it, they will add the 50% to funds raised by March 31st 2020 and then pay out to charities as soon as possible after that. This is a lifeline that will make all the difference to organisations such as ourselves.
Any sponsorship made between now and March 31st will be invaluable in helping the Glad Foundation stay afloat during this period of unprecedented uncertainty. We thank you for your generosity and look forward to be back up and running and making music with the young and vulnerable members of our community in Glasgow as soon as possible!

For that reason we are walking to raise money for The Glad Foundation.
The Glad Foundation runs weekly music workshops and lessons in its own space in Shawlands, and in partnership with local schools and organisations to give opportunities to harder to reach young people. By doing the Kiltwalk we will raise funds to support the Glad Foundation's programme, helping provide essential continuity and minimising barriers to participation, keeping it accessible and affordable for all. Money raised will directly support the delivery of:
